Part of the rapid development of this eastern edge of Trinity Park near South Ellerbe Creek in the years immediately after World War II, the first owner and occupants of this house appears to have been Louis A. Lubow and wife Bernice. Lubow is listed in the 1948 city directory as proprietor of the Watts Street Grocery, ownership of which quickly passed to the Welch family that ran it for decades therafter.
From at least 1958-1963, Harvey Y. and Ethel W. Templeton are listed as residents here. Harvey Templeton is said to have been a salesman at Alexander Motors - the Ford dealership on East Main Street.
