A series of small houses lined the 700 and portions of the 800 block of Vickers Avenue. While I have no pictures of 807 Vickers prior to its demolition in 1966, here is an aerial of the area (803 and 807 Vickers are in the red box, 803 on top.) The blue box contains 505 and 507 Yancey Street.
803 and 807 Vickers were destroyed in 1966. The freeway went through here soon after, just to the north of 803 Vickers. This land remained vacant for 50 years after that.
