Hi Open Durham! My husband and I bought this house in 2018. Unfortunately, before our purchase extensive renovation work was done that did diminish some of the original character of the house; all fireplaces have been dry-walled over and concealed and the german siding has been covered with vinyl. That said, this house retains it's gloriously high ceilings and since we intend to stay, and have a passion for historic homes, we have been slowly updating it to former grandeur (funny sentiment for a mill house - but it stands!). We have recently updated the porch again to include corbels and a gable decoration. I'll upload a picture for you all. I will continue to upload this page periodically with the adventures of this house. She has been lovingly nicknamed "Guthrie Rose Homestead" as I have a large garden on our small plot, and we try to homestead on the property as much as we can.
