The B. Winston Rogers House

(Benjamin) Winston Rogers and his wife built this large, wonderful bungalow between 1920 and 1923. Rogers was Asst. Sec-Treas of the Durham Loan and Trust and Treasurer of the Durham Chamber of Commerce in 1931.

By the late 1930s (1938 checked) it appears to have been used as a rooming house; Rogers lived until 1956 (b 1875, d 02.05.56. Even his grave says "B. Winston Rogers.") and likely retained ownership of the house after his family moved to 1106 Arnette Ave. (he was by that time a "salesman" for the Hospital Care Association.)
