Comnodore Thomas Council, owner of the Five Points Drug Company, vice-president of the Horne Building and Loan Association, and manager of the B.C. Remedy Company (which he co-founded), had this two-story frame Foursquare constructed between 1928 and 1930. Paved brackets support the deep eaves. The original one-story wraparound porch was rerrnved by subsequent CMner Dr. w. Waldo Boone who also added dentilled cornices to the first-story windows, a fanlight over the front door, and onl'!-story wings appended to the west and south elevations. Unsympathetic metal porch posts are more recent.
