Orren E. Dowd House. Substantial 1 and 1/2-story brick Tudor Cottage with a sidegabled main block, a front-gabled wing, and a side-gabled screen porch on the east side. Features include a recessed central entrance with decoratively carved Tudor style posts and beam, large metal casement windows, a bowed bay window in thefront wing, and a shed dormer. The house is not listed in the 1935 directory. Orren E. Dowd, teacher at Central Jr. High School, was owner-occupant in 1940.
