OpenDurham.org is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of our community. Run by our parent nonprofit, Preservation Durham, the site requires routine maintence and upgrades. We do not ask for support often, but today, we're asking you to chip in to help us reach our goal of raising $7,500 for annual maintenance by the end of the year. Your support allows us to maintain this valuable resource, expand our archives, and keep the history of Durham accessible to everyone.

And right across the street from Medical Arts Buidling, one floor of this building belonged to my Mom's choice of family dentist, Dr. Griffen. Can't recall his first name, but remember his wife also being the hygenist. Best thing about this location as I remember was the ice cream parlor, also right across the street.

This building was the offices of Dr Bobby Sugg, on the top floor. The three windows on the front top was the waiting room and the three windows down the top left side were offices where the work was performed. Dr Sugg was the best dentist in Durham. He sold his practice to Dr Service on Duke St, another great dentist.
