605 Linwood Avenue – Arthur Hood House

This two-story, hip-roofed house is two bays wide and double-pile with a two-story, shed-roofed rear ell. It has been heavily altered with the addition of a continuous modern brick veneer, replacement windows, and small slider windows on the side elevations. Larger windows on the facade have metal railings in front of them. A hip-roofed dormer, centered on the façade has a large louvered vent. The two replacement front doors are sheltered by a front-gabled porch supported by solid metal posts and railings on a terra cotta-covered stoop. The front yard is landscaped with low brick planters on either side of the walk. The earliest known occupant is Arthur Hood (plasterer) in 1925.
