Per the North Carolina Collection:
House of George Washington Burch. ca.1880. House with ornate porch decorations was once located at the corner of W. Main St. and Guess Rd. (later Buchanan Blvd.) Family members shown are G.W.'s wife, Callie Jane Davis Burch, on the porch, and Caroline Washington Burch, at bottom of steps.

I haven't found any clear record of exactly where this was located.

Could Burch Avenue be named after this family?
