2550 Chapel Hill Boulevard was home to the Yorktowne Theater. One of the best movie experiences of my life was going to see "White Men Can't Jump" here. Seriously.

I saw Star Wars fourteen

I saw Star Wars fourteen times at the Yorktown Theater the summer it was released, with my friend Nickie. It had one of the largest movie screens I have ever seen, though maybe not quite as big as an IMAX. Architecturally, the building is not much of a loss, though it would be nice is something interesting went in that lot.
